Season 1 Begins

What’s up Esports fans!? We’re super excited to be moving into 2023 with our first block of events we’re calling Season 1! We showcased our potential with the successful W3E Championships EV.io Duos tournament in Istanbul, now we’re fleshing things out which’ll allow us to define our rankings and develop the competitive scene in Web3.

Season 1 will run from January to the end of June and comprises of three different events;

  1. W3E Creator Championship –  A 16 player, single elimination tournament taking place on 23rd February at 6pm EST. This’ll feature many of the biggest names in Web3 such as; CryptoStache, CagyJan, Bulldog1205, SpikeReacts and W3E’s own SpaceLyon and DBofficial125. We’ll randomly pair the content creators up in duos to compete in EV.io and see which two are crowned as champions.
  2. W3E Company Clash – An 8 team, single elimination Trios tournament taking place on 24th February at 6pm EST. Our first ever Trios event will see some of the biggest Web3 companies form staff teams to do battle in EV.io! The final roster for this event features; W3E, EV.io, XBorg, Ultra, Forest Knight, Arcade 2 Earn, Mech and Polkastarter.
  3. W3E Premier League – A 16 team, round-robin, EV.io league table that’ll take place over the course of 15 weeks. The event kicks off on Thursday 9th March and wraps up on Thursday 15th June, crowning our first Premier League champions. Our league will allow us to help shape rankings, decide who qualifies for future LAN’s and create a skill based matchmaking system as other divisions get added in future seasons. The league is open to the public to sign up HERE and already features W3E’s 2022 Duos Champions, XBorg, runners up Eternity and many other returning teams such as Floating Birds, Ven9Vipers and Hot Heads. Newcomers such as SAGE E-Sports, Perion and Method Meta Guild will enter W3E competition for the first time!

“Winning the last W3E tournament was an incredible experience, and I can’t wait to see what W3E Pro League has in store.” said Alexandru “LEX” Mihai from XBorg Atlantic. “The level of competition in the Web3 gaming community is always high, and I’m excited to see what strategies my fellow players bring to the table. I’m honoured to have been a part of the previous tournament, and I hope to make it to the top again in this one.”

These are incredibly exciting times for W3E and the EV.io competitive scene. Stay tuned and follow our socials for more breaking news.
